Welcome to Mote Park Indoor Bowls Club
Mote Park Indoor Bowls Club is a private members club managed by an elected Board of Directors, situated 1.5 miles south east of Maidstone town centre and located in Mote Park. Our air conditioned 8-rink facility includes a good size restaurant, bar and viewing area, facilities for the disabled, meeting rooms and ample car parking.
The Club was founded in 1987 to provide indoor bowling for the residents of Maidstone and the surrounding villages. It was one of the first Cygnet-built clubs in Kent with a membership of 1,250 and a waiting list of 100. Since then new indoor Clubs have opened throughout Kent but members still come from a twenty mile radius of the town to make up the current membership of 850. Apart from catering for the senior players, the Club has an active junior section between the ages of 8 and 18 years under the direction of fully approved instructors as required by the Child Protection legislation.
The Club caters for all levels of bowling and welcomes people new to the sport by offering a fully qualified coaching staff and advice on equipment suitable for their needs. In meeting the demands of its members, the Club offers a structured league programme throughout the winter alongside available slots for casual bowling and regular groups. A full weekend and weekday fixture programme against visiting clubs is available on a friendly or competitive basis in the Kent League where the Club currently holds the Ladies' championship. Popular weekly drives provide the opportunity for new members to meet other members. .
The winter months provide bowling for seven days a week and with limited opening in the summer you can have bowling all the year round in a fully automated temperature controlled environment.
After your game you can enjoy a drink with your friends from our well stocked bar or a meal provided by our popular caterers. As a member you can sign in your friends to join you for a drink / meal whilst enjoying the atmosphere generated within the Club.
Once a month in the winter season we have a 'family night' when non-bowling friends and family members can enjoy an evening of fun and merriment trying the game.
